Uecker to have heart surgery

Bob Uecker, the Hall of Fame broadcaster who’s been the radio voice of the Milwaukee Brewers for 40 years, will undergo heart surgery on Friday at Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin and is expected to be out of commission for the next 10-12 weeks. Uecker, known throughout the game as “Mr. Baseball,” has a history of prior circulatory issues, having had surgery to repair two abdominal aortic aneurysms in 1991.

Here’s to hoping Bob Uecker makes a full and speedy recovery!
