Feingold campaign hits goal of 30,000 doors knocked on

After tallying the result of a canvass completed last weekend, the reelection campaign of U.S. Senator Russ Feingold announced it had reached its goal of knocking on 30,000 doors in communities across Wisconsin. Despite having reached that goal, Feingold’s campaign will be back out in communities canvassing later this month during the “May 500” statewide canvass, when 500 Feingold Campaign volunteers will take to the streets and knock on doors in communities all across Wisconsin.

Speaking about the campaign having reached its goal of 30,000 doors knocked on, Campaign Manager George Aldrich issued a statement:

“Our grassroots campaign is unmatched,” said Feingold Campaign Manager George Aldrich. “Our supporters are energized and working hard to build our grassroots campaign by going door to door, talking to voters face to face about Senator Feingold’s record of being an independent voice, getting the job done for Wisconsin and standing up to the powerful corporate special interests in Washington.”

Sen. Feingold’s reelection campaign now has 11 field offices, located in Green Bay, Wausau, La Crosse, Eau Claire, Hudson, Racine, Kenosha, Milwaukee, Janesville, Madison and Middleton, and the campaign reports having over 25,000 volunteers.

While there’s no doubt 2010 promises to be a rough year for Democrats, Sen. Feingold’s reelection campaign has certainly built a formidable campaign infrastructure, and he’ll certainly be tough to beat come the fall.

  1. Feingold is worse than Bernie Madoff. He voted to raise taxes on Seniors and make it easer for government employees to in influence government policy. When spending bills cum up and are going to pass he votes against them so as to look like a budget cutter not the big spender that he is. I trust Madoff more than Russ.
