There is hope for America…..

This week there were a slew of primaries throughout the country. With those primaries came one notable loser…the tea party movement. As I have detailed, the Koch Industries funded, misguided extreme faction of the republican party is proving not to have much success turning their so called movement into election victories. On Tuesday moderates swept through the primaries!

“Another Tuesday, another round of Republican primaries pitting self-proclaimed Tea Party candidates against their (sometimes slightly, sometimes considerably) more moderate opponents—and yet another sign that the Glenn Beck brigade is a long way from “taking back the country,” despite all the hype”

There was one other loser in the field also….sarah palin endorsed candidates. I have not done the research but im curious if she has even reached the Mendoza line when it comes to endorsing winners.

” And in Kansas, the two orthodox conservative congressmen, Todd Tiahrt and Jerry Moran, running to replace Sam Brownback, seemed basically indistinguishable until Tiahrt started harping on some of Moran’s more moderate votes and secured the endorsement of a lady named Sarah Palin as a result.” —– winner Moran

  1. My only fear is that if moderates win the Republican nominations and the Democrats win handily again that the far right will attack the moderate nominees and plunge the Republican party even further to the right. What the Republican party says it is about and the values of these far right fanatics are very different things. I fear one day “outlaw contraception” will be on the Republican party agenda and that’s just the tip of the iceberg if they keep going right.

Still it’s a victory for people with more sense over extremists. I just hope the Republicans stay out of power until the party no longer tries to coddle the far right.

    1. Republicans stay out of power long enough? Long enough where there is NO balance of power whatsoever and the RADICAL LEFT takes our country down the path of Socialism completely?! You whine about the party not in power going too far to the right, when the party IN power is freakin so far left there is nowhere else left to go!

  2. bofcudahy- They’re already at “outlaw contraception”. What do you think Wisconsin Right-to-Life’s platform is on the subject? And Neumann and Walker both are seeking the backing of RTL, so put 2 and 2 together…

For Huh’s lame post, those Cook bloggers sure are scientific, as they move the Senate race to “toss-up” after a couple of Razzy polls and after “talking to Ron Johnson”. Jenny must have liked the cut of Mr. Burns’ jib. Wow, there’s some real digging inside the numbers going on there. I’ll stick with Feingold as a 9.5-point favorite, especially after the “creative destruction” line from RoJo.

But please, continue to fall into these media-driven narratives like “The Tea party is a new conservative resurgence” or “Feingold in major trouble.” It’s annoying right now, because it’s driving the coverage into a false direction that some may be duped into buying, but it’ll make the “HUH?” you losers give out on Nov. 2 all the more satisfying.

We must combat this BS everywhere we go folks. Because the lying scum in the WisGOP and the pro-GOP media are sure to be dishing out a lot of it the next 3 months.

    1. Jake – Go ahead and think what you will. You are ignoring the movement in the state and country today. I will be happy to come back here on Nov 3rd to console you 🙂

    2. What a minute, I missed this part. Pro-GOP media? Whiskey Tango Foxtrot. Are you kidding me??? Since when does the media have anything but a lib bias? You are so angry, because you are concerned about all the losses heading your way. The media is seeing the light of day for once! But they are nowhere close to Pro-Conservative Mr. Angry Jake

  3. The media definitely tilts right since only a few companies own all of the media. Although I would say they are more corporatist than they are partisan and tend to lean to whoever is in power so as not to lose access…

    1. The entertainment and music industry as part of the media are only owned by a few media companies, but are you really going to say most movies, TV shows, and music have a conservative bent? Hollywood is by and large more liberal than the rest of America, and their products reflect that. How is that different from news/infotainment and reporters?

    1. There are way more pro-liberal agenda news reports on any given station both major network and cable…with the exception of Fox. Period.

  4. Based on what? Any examples? I have one you can comment on, the charlie rangel story. Does the liberal media ever explain that it was the democrats strong ethics reforms that helped bring this case to life? Or does the liberal media ever bring up that while rangel is brought up on ethicw charges, ensign might face criminal charges?
