WI fails to break the Top 10

Gallup has released their latest poll results tracking the most conservative and most liberal states.  Based on their polling results, WI did not make it onto either list.  The top 10 most conservative states were lead by Wyoming, Mississippi and Utah; while the top 10 most liberal states were led by DC, RI & CT.

So what’s with Lieberman representing CT?

As the release on the polling results stated:

“As one would expect, there is overlap between the most liberal and Democratic states and most conservative and Republican states. The five most liberal states and New York all appear in the top 10 most Democratic states. Likewise, six of the most conservative states (Wyoming, Utah, South Dakota, Alabama, Idaho, and Nebraska) also rank among the most Republican.”

So what’s with Ben Nelson representing NE?

  1. What’s with Lieberman representing CT? He was voted in, that’s what. I dislike political purification. It’s sickening seeing the Republicans attack each other for not being far enough to the right, and I don’t see why Lieberman should have to pick sides. We don’t need all of the nation’s senators being so polarized so while I may not always agree with him at least he doesn’t fall in line with any party line.

    1. And to add to that, I’m glad Wisconsin is more of a middle ground though I admit the thought of Republicans taking control again sends chills down my spine.
