When things get taken too far….

As pointed out by Jay Bullock over at his blog, J. Rawson Schaller, a contributor over at Badger Blogger, went off the deep end on Monday, targeting a regular commenter at Badger Blogger in a profanity-laced rant. While I do have a screen capture of the tirade in question, I’m not going to post it here. However, if you’d like to read the tirade for yourself, Google has a cache of the tirade.

What’s most troubling about Schaller’s tirade is that it seems to run in direct contradiction to Badger Blogger’s comment policy, which states in part, “Name calling, especially of the profane sort, is not welcome and will get you ignored, banned or worse…” Considering Badger Blogger’s stated policy, I can’t help but wonder when J. Rawson Schaller’s ban kicks in.

I’m not sure why J. Rawson Schaller posted his profanity-laced tirade, but no matter the reason, it’s simply uncalled for.

  1. Also seems to be some threat of physical violence.

    That’s really smart…

I always knew those guys over there were over the moon nut balls crazy.

  2. I love it, he threatens with his “gun” and then threatens a lawsuit! I thought the righties hated frivolous lawsuits! This is very entertaining!

  3. If and when Rawson Schaller is banned from BB, please let us know.

I never threatened anyone, never called anyone a name, yet I was banned from BB.

    1. You and I both know he won’t get banned. Patrick has already explained it away as an “inside joke” that got accidentally posted.
