I don’t have much to talk about today, as I’ve got lots of preparations to make in advance of today’s NFC Championship gam between the Green Bay Packers and their bitter rivals, the Chicago Bears.

I really want to root for the Packers today, but I am very distressed by the fact that they are publicly, and not privately, owned. How can we be sure they aren’t a front for International Communism and the Cloward/Piven strategy? Maybe Curly Lambeau went to grade school with Francis Fox Piven and simply wanted to establish a decades long pro football dynasty so as to “normalize” communism in the minds of Wisconsinites? Gosh, I hope not.
Maybe Scott Walker should seize the Packers via eminent domain and sell them to the highest bidder to pay down the state deficit, thereby thwarting the communists and demonstrating fiscal responsibility in one fell swoop? Something to think about!
That said, I predict the Packers over the Bears, 24 to 14. Cold weather will keep the score lower than might otherwise be the case.

The Packers aren’t owned by the city, state, or federal government. If you mean publicly-owned in the sense of stockholders, so is every other eeeeeevil corporation, as opposed to a sole proprietorship.

I have reason to believe that Francis Fox Piven is actually 113 years old instead of the 78 years she currently claims, was born in Kiev, Russia, instead of Canada, was actually Lenin’s girlfriend and helped him and the Bolsheviks overthrow the Romanov dynasty, and then came to America to join with Curly Lambeau to promote Communism through the Green Bay Packers in 1919. That said, I think the Packers will defeat the Steelers in the 2011 Superbowl 27 to 17. Rodgers will catch fire and that will be that.
Is it too much to ask that you support your assertions with facts, or have you been smoking a little bit too much of something this evening? Or is this your way of saying you were wrong? Did Francis and Curly also promote communism by founding Walmart, a publicly traded company?
