Stone campaign: the gang that just couldn’t shoot straight…

or more accurately, the campaign that couldn’t spell right

Jeff Stone advances with 44% of the primary vote against millionaire Chris Able in the race for the Milwaukee County Executive seat. Stone out polled Able almost 2 to 1 with Stone receiving 44% of the vote to Able’s 25%. The April election will decide who replaces Governor Scott Walker as County Executive.

“The returns are overwhelming. I am so proud of the effort and the results that we achieved. Mr. Able poured a huge amount of his personal wealth into this race and barely out polled his nearest rivals. This will be a clear race of experience against family money,” stated Stone. “I have a real record of fiscal responsibility and have ideas and experience that will help guide Milwaukee County into the future.”

It has been reported that Able has spent over $400,000.00 in his primary effort to win the seat against Stone’s $20,500.00.

I’m not sure who this “Chris Able” fellow is that Jeff Stone thinks he’s running against, but someone ought to tell Jeff Stone and his campaign handlers/press release writers that he’s running against Chris Abele.

The fact that Jeff Stone and his campaign staff can’t even get the name of their opponent right says something about how well Jeff Stone pays attention to anything other than what Scott Walker tells him.

  1. Oh the typo is a silly thing to point out. But what is silly is to be pumped up at getting a larger percent than Abele…. Geee I wonder who the Sullivan voters will vote for in the general.

    1. No doubt it’s a silly thing, which is why I categorized this as humorous.

But you do raise a good point…the fact that Stone, the only conservative in the race, couldn’t get an outright majority could mean he’s in trouble.

  2. And all night WITI Fox6 kept saying the lead in the 14th County Supervisor race was Steve Krueger…who the heck is that?
