Why did Jeff Stone vote to send $46 million in transit funds out of Wisconsin?

After voting yesterday in support of Gov. Scott Walker’s proposal to gut collective bargaining rights for Wisconsin’s public employees (a vote that may result in the loss of $46 million in federal transit funding for Wisconsin), far-right conservative Milwaukee County Executive candidate Jeff Stone boarded the Milwaukee County Transit Route 23 bus, presumably to show he really really care about Milwaukee County’s transit system.

Despite his ironic photo op riding the Number 23 earlier today, it’s pretty obvious if elected County Executive, Jeff Stone will work just as hard as Scott Walker to kill Milwaukee County’s transit system, and the citizens of Milwaukee County who rely on its public transit system deserve more from their County Executive.
