Walker supporter unconvinced Gov. Walker can lead the state

Bob Lien, the co-owner of a small business in Stoughton (and someone who voted for Gov. Scott Walker) explains why he’s unconvinced of Gov. Walker’s ability to lead the state:

My company had a contract related to Wisconsin’s high-speed rail project that would have allowed us to create at least 6 jobs. After Governor Walker’s politically motivated rejection of high-speed rail funds, along with the latest issues related to unions and Wisconsin’s budget, I am unconvinced of his ability to effectively lead the state.

Overall, I believe Scott Walker has made a huge mistake in taking on the unions through collective bargaining. He is risking the entire conservative agenda for what I see as relatively minor budget savings.

I hope he is able to get over his ego and become the kind of leader Wisconsin needs. A leader must be willing to work with everyone, regardless of their differences. Sometimes a leader must stand up to both sides and say, “Enough is enough, let’s figure out a solution.”

The rest of Bob’s entry is worth a read.
