Watch the new ad Turn Right USA, a conservative Federal Non-connected, Expenditure Only Political Action Committee (SuperPAC) has started running against Janice Hahn, the Democratic candidate for U.S. Congress in California’s 36th District.
Defend this, conservatives….come on, defend it. These are your fellow conservatives, so I’d love to see you defend this.
This looks like it could be a skit of the Bill Maher show, an over-the-top hyperbole on the Republican Party’s hatred of black people.
But this is real.
Without a specific appeal to racism, the GOP would be lose badly at the polls. Since the Southern Strategy begun by Nixon in 1968, appeals to racism are the norm continuing today.
Unlike progressives conservatives are free thinkers and not just followers of the party line. I know if this was a progressive ad you would need to defend it but as a conservative it is highly offensive and just shows even on the conservative side there is progressive like thinking at times.
Your analysis is about as mature as a fifth grader saying “I know you are, but what am I.” What a real man would say is simply that the ad cannot be defended, and perhaps a comment about how regretable it is that racists feel more comfortable among Republicans than they do among Democrats. Instead you either make stuff up or revert back to the playground. No, real adults don’t use phrases like “I’m rubber and you’re glue.” Real adults take responsibility, and you simply dodge responsibility instead, all for your party. Pathetic, but very predictable.
“Your analysis is about as mature as a fifth grader…”
Just keep in mind the source, Steven. This is Notalib we’re talking about; he’s the same guy who posited that killing liberals would be a great thing for America.
I agree Mal, it is so cheesy, it looked to me like something from Living Color back in the day.
This can’t be real, can it? Really? Are you sure this isn’t a Dave Chappelle skit?
It’s real….real enough that Janice Hahn’s Republican opponent had to issue a statement disavowing any coordination with the group that ran the video.
LMAO. I don’t think even the most dastardly liberal trying to parody the conservatives could come up w/ something that outlandish.
However, sadly judging from the similarity to all the right wing chain emails I get from family & friends, it’s not far from a mainstream line of thought in those circles. Hey, even a socialist has to admire such an efficient marketplace of ideas, whereas if there’s a niche demand, it shall be filled at all costs!
