Tiffany’s to Bankroll Newt Gingrich’s Campaign

In a striking move designed to garner votes from those who go slack-jawed at the mere sight of diamonds, Newt Gingrich’s campaign announced today that the over $1,000,000 debt the campaign is currently carrying will be carried by Tiffany’s, where Gingrich conveniently has a $1,000,000 credit line in addition to the $500,000 credit line previously reported.  It is thought to be the first time a jewelry store has bankrolled a campaign for President. 

In other news, two top fundraisers from the Gingrich campaign have resigned, evidently not needed since Mr. Gingrich has decided to employ the Tiffany’s funding strategy. 

Now, back to your regular programming, where Michelle Bachmann is reportedly fundraising from the federal coffers, and where Jon Huntsman and Mitt Romney will soon be filing as a protected class
