Biden to Teamsters: If you vote Republican, “you’re on your own, Jack!”

Speaking to the International Brotherhood of Teamsters convention in Las Vegas on July 1, Vice President Joe Biden went off his prepared remarks to address efforts by Republicans to weaken labor unions across the country.

“And don’t any of you, by the way, any of you guys vote Republican,” the Vice President Biden started to say, after which he caught himself. “I’m not supposed to say, this isn’t political, I’m not supposed to say this.”

The crowd cheered him on.

“Guys!” Biden continued. “Let me put it this way! Don’t come to me if you do! You’re on your own, Jack!”

In other VP Biden-related news, the Vice President is now on Twitter @VP. The Twitter feed is obviously being controlled by staffers, but we can always hope for a gem from Biden, can’t we?
