Crazy Michele Bachmann recently announced her bid, to become the Republican Nominee for President of the United States. She is a \"tea party\" favorite, who rose to rose to prominence via an insane moment on the Chris Matthews show. While most of America thought she had just forgotten her pills that day, the “tea party” took to her insanity like peanut butter took to chocolate.
Now that the “tea party” knows her, before we end up with someone so out of their league as we we did in the last election, so lets take a look at Michele Bachmann.
First there is Matt Taibbi\'s brilliant expose of Bachmann in Rolling Stone:
Bachmann’s entire political career has followed this exact same pattern of God-speaks-directly-to-me fundamentalism mixed with pathological, relentless, conscienceless lying. She’s not a liar in the traditional way of politicians, who tend to lie dully, usefully and (they hope) believably, often with the aim of courting competing demographics at the same time. That’s not what Bachmann’s thing is. Bachmann lies because she can’t help it, because it’s a built-in component of both her genetics and her ideology. She is at once the most entertaining and the most dangerous kind of liar, a turbocharged cross between a born bullshit artist and a religious fanatic, for whom lying to the infidel is a kind of holy duty.
Then there is Marcus Bachmann, Michele’s religious zealot of a husband. He is famous for a radio interview he gave where he came up with this bit of brilliance:
Marcus Bachmann, the husband of GOP presidential hopeful Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN), said in a radio interview unearthed by ThinkProgress that “barbarians need to be educated” when asked how parents should deal with their homosexual children.
“They need to be disciplined,” he said last year on Point of View Radio Talk Show. “Just because someone feels it or thinks it doesn’t mean that we are supposed to go down that road. That’s what is called the sinful nature.”
“And let’s face it: what is our culture, what is our public education system doing today?” he continued. “They are giving full, wide-open doors to children, not only giving encouragement to think it but to encourage action steps.

I know I know she raised 23 Foster children so she has to be a saint right? Or did she?
If this is the best that the alternative party has to offer, Heaven Help us!
Well, apparently, the bat shit is only going to get deeper. . .
“Rick Perry Looking Increasingly Likely To Run For President, GOP Insiders Say”

[Don’t get too excited about the Jeb Bush reference in the URL, Mr. Carlson. “GOP insiders” think that the fact that, as a part of the Bush clan, he isn’t saying unflattering things about Perry is evidence that he does, or would, support an eventual Perry candidacy.]
