Asher Heimermann to run for State Assembly

From the files of, “if at first you don’t succeed, try and try again” comes news that 18 year-old former Sheboygan mayoral candidate Asher Heimermann will be running for the State Assembly as a Democrat this year.

Heimermann, who got just 38 votes for a last place finish in the Sheboygan mayoral recall primary, is the first Democrat to announce a challenge to incumbent Republican state Rep. Mike Endsley.

While I certainly appreciate Asher’s enthusiasm for the political process, he should take some time away from running for office, experience a little bit more of what life has to offer, and mature a bit before he takes another crack at running for office.

  1. Please Don’t give this kid any Press
Came out today he spent 1/2 his campaign funds on an IPAD!!

no wonder he’s running for assembly…more toys!

    1. No, what came out today was a joke you heard on the Kramp & Adler Show on 102.1FM. That hardly qualifies as a reputable news source.

  2. i say give this young man credit for trying i wish more young people today had this kind of ambition. maybe what this county needs is some new people instead of the old corput politicains we have in power now

  3. There is no way he is complying with campaign finance laws. I feel bad for anyone on the internet who was foolish enough to take him seriously and donate money. Look at his twitter feed…you’ll quickly see how “mature” he is and how much he hurts the Democratic Party’s image.
