Who will win the Iowa Republican caucuses?

So which Republican presidential candidate will win the Iowa Republican caucuses tonight?

The top three candidates seem to be Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum, and Ron Paul, while Newt Gingrich, Rick Perry, and Michele Bachmann seem to have settled in as the second tier of candidates.

For my money, I’m betting on an upset win by former Sen. Rick Santorum (albeit a very close win), with Mitt Romney finishing second and Ron Paul in third. In the aftermath of the Iowa results, I expect to see Michele Bachmann drop out of the race if she doesn’t win, while it seems somewhat likely that Texas Governor Rick Perry will stay in the race at least through the South Carolina primary, given the fact that sources have indicated Perry’s campaign has started buying television time in South Carolina.

So what do you think….which Republican candidate will win tonight, and which candidates might we have seen the last of?

  1. The winner will be Obama, at least according to the coffee bean poll. I understand Bachman won there for the Repubs, but that Obama took her in a landslide.
