Arrival of the Autocracy

Autocracy arrives in Europe.

When Wolfgang Schäuble proposed that Greece should postpone its elections as a condition for further help, I knew that the game would soon be up. We are at the point where success is no longer compatible with democracy. The German finance minister wants to prevent a “wrong” democratic choice. Similar to this is the suggestion to let the elections go ahead, but to have a grand coalition irrespective of the outcome. The eurozone wants to impose its choice of government on Greece – the eurozone’s first colony.

    autocracy arrives? mmm perhaps not. Autocracy, whether via monarchy, dictatorship, the Vatican, or whatever, has had a cozy home in Europe and amongst the Brits for, well, forever?
    Humans never change. That is my belief. They appear to change because their TECHNOLOGY changes, but don’t let that fool you. There’s probably a professor somewhere who has written a book saying that same thing, but I stopped reading years ago. It took too much time away from my narcissistic musings.

    Now let’s all enjoy Christina Stürmer as she channels the Greek people wishing to be “without you” or maybe ~ Without EU.
    This song is not romantic or about missing someone, but rather she is singing about being free from a dominating/debilitating person. bonus track – Mama ana ahabak, which is a very sad emotional song about miserable abused forgotten arab children.
