The most delusional comment thread I’ve ever read

Over at Third Coast Digest, Michael Horne has an article noting former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi will be in Milwaukee on March 4 to attend a fundraiser for Democratic Rep. Gwen Moore, who faces what Horne calls “imaginary opposition.”

Horne’s “imaginary opposition” crack clearly sent conservatives into a tizzy, the comments following the article are any indication. My favorite comment has to be this one:

Mr. Sebring is a huge threat to Moore, she is being cocky about her seat!

Let’s not forget that Dan Sebring failed to get 30% of the vote in 2010 against Rep. Moore, and the last time I checked Rep. Moore’s district didn’t suddenly become Republican enough to give Sebring a victory in 2012.

My prediction for 2012? Gwen Moore crushes Dan Sebring, winning no less than 65% of the vote.

  1. Ok…just for starters, I live in the district and didn’t even know Mr. Sebring was running…

  2. “…and the last time I checked Rep. Moore’s district didn’t suddenly become Republican enough to give Sebring a victory in 2012.”

I am guessing that this was a sacrificial district and as many Democrats as possible were gerrymandered INTO this district!

  3. Delusion is nothing new on the Right.

Obama wants your guns, Pelosi is a Marxist, and Jesus will rapture his followers into heaven, to name only three of hundreds of examples.

  4. There is a frenzied uniformity to the comments that I find quite refreshing. They read like different voices from the same script — one based on a schoolgirl’s diary gushings. That Mr. Sebring must be something! Thank you for bringing this to the attention of your readers.
