South Carolina Republicans do not like their WI counterparts

The Laurens County South Carolina Republican Party requires all candidates to sign a pledge.

Here are a few items on the pledge:

You must oppose abortion, in any circumstances.

You must uphold the right to have guns, all kinds of guns.

You must endorse the idea of a balanced state and federal budget, whatever it takes, even if your primary responsibility is to be sure the county budget is balanced.

You must favor, and live up to, abstinence before marriage.

You must be faithful to your spouse. Your spouse cannot be a person of the same gender, and you are not allowed to favor any government action that would allow for civil unions of people of the same sex.

You cannot now, from the moment you sign this pledge, look at pornography.

It is safe to say that no Wisconsin republicans elected officials will be moving to Laurens County SC.

    1. Not soon enough, little homey.

That said, from what little you have had to say in your short stay here, I think that the “backwoods” of South Carolina would be perfect for you.

I understand that they’re going to be filming “Deliverance 2” down there pretty soon. There’s got to be a racist, gun-toting, hillbilly role in that movie with your name on it. Maybe you should hightail it down there right now to take advantage of the opportunity, huh? The rest of Wisconsin would be grateful if you did.

Anyway, already in moderation, huh? (*laughing*) Not even the great wingnut “sage”, Notalib, achieved that “distinction” in such a short period of time.

Guess that means that you’re just THAT “special”.

“Backwoods” special. “Slingblade” special. “Special”. You know.

  1. Noticable omissions:

    – Nothing about the consumption of moonshine, or
    – Interfering with farm animals.
    – Minimum number of teeth required to vote.
    – Lusting in one’s heart after a cousin.
    – Dietary rules concerning the cooking of roadkill.
