Bristol Palin shouldn’t lecture anyone about the importance of fathers

What’s the definition of irony?

Irony is single mother Bristol Palin hopping on her soapbox to lecture President Barack Obama on the role of fathers in shaping the worldviews of their children.

“In this case, it would’ve been helpful for him to explain to Malia and Sasha that while her friends parents are no doubt lovely people, that’s not a reason to change thousands of years of thinking about marriage,” she writes. “Or that – as great as her friends may be – we know that in general kids do better growing up in a mother/father home. Ideally, fathers help shape their kids’ worldview.”

Perhaps the next time Bristol Palin wants to hurl stones at others about the importance of fathers in shaping their kids’ worldview, she’ll first make sure she’s not living in a glass house.
