Quite possibly the worst campaign website I’ve ever seen

Of all the absolutely horrible campaign websites I’ve come across in my time on the internet, the official campaign website of New York State Senate candidate Mindy Meyer has to be the worst. Seriously….take a look at the site, and provided you’re not blind afterwards, you’ll agree with me.

While the site is so tacky that it just has to be a joke, it’s not. As reported by the Huffington Post, Meyer is running on the Republican and Conservative Party lines against New York Democratic State Sen. Kevin Parker. According to a statement on Meyers’ website from Jerry Kassar, chairman of Brooklyn’s Conservative Party, that group has endorsed Meyer.

We endorsed her. We filed her petitions on the conservative party line and we anticipate her being a strong candidate. We were very excited after we met with her and I say she will be formidable and a strong contender. She has a maturity and an ability well beyond her years.

  1. Jesus christ. She mute the pink at least, that is just horrible on the eyes. Pink CAN look good, and that color can look good in spare amounts.

Yikes. The designer in me is screaming to what to redo her website.

  2. “Horrible” might be a little strong, Z. I might go with something like Foudroyant to describe the juxtaposition of pink and faux-leopard spot with sparkly fonts and canned industrial musical score droning in the background.

Foudroyant, indicating that which is “striking, stunning, sudden and overwhelming, or dazzling.” From the French Foudroyer meaning to strike with lightning. In this case, fuchsia lightning.

Foudroyant also denotes a special, medicinal usage: a severe affliction out of the blue, or in this case out of the pink.

But you know, the Magic 8 Ball says “It is decidedly so” that Miss Mindy Meyer will meet with success in her political career on the “Republican and Conservative Party lines.”

  3. That.is.awesome! Did you hear the music?

And, the photos? Priceless. It’s like she photoshopped herself into many of them. And, the soulful look up at camera in all of her profiles shots? God!

And, her positions….! She vouches for vouchers, etc. So bad, it’s good.
