’47 PERCENT’ WELCOME HOME FOR PAUL RYAN AT MILWAUKEE BAKERY
MILWAUKEE—At a bakery here Friday, State Sen. Chris Larson will be joined by students, seniors, homeowners and veterans for a “47 percent”-style welcome home and cake “presentation” for Paul Ryan in advance of his pricey fundraiser Saturday. Speakers will ask a simple question Paul Ryan should be able to answer about his running mate: who is Mitt Romney talking about when he says 47 percent of Americans don’t take responsibility for their lives and want to be dependent on government?
Did he mean seniors who worked their whole lives and now live on a fixed income? Was he talking about servicemen and women and veterans who have fought for our country? Maybe he meant students who are working to build a better future for themselves? Or was it people who have fallen on hard times and are looking for work? These are the people Mitt Romney says are looking for a hand out. Romney and Ryan have indicated they wouldn’t worry about a vast swath of Wisconsin as they cater to the super-rich.
Friday’s “47 percent’ welcome home for Ryan will take place at the Amaranth Bakery & Cafe, 3329 W. Lisbon Ave. at 10:30 a.m.
