Does Frank Lasee live outside the district he serves?

According to a report by WBAY, the Democratic Party of Wisconsin is filing a complaint with the Government Accountability Board alleging Republican State Senator Frank Lasee lives outside the district he represents.

Action 2 News has learned the Democratic Party of Wisconsin (DPW) is filing a complaint with the Government Accountability Board (GAB), accusing Republican State Senator Frank Lasee of De Pere of living outside the district.

The complaint accuses Lasee of owning a home in Racine, where his wife and children are living, as well as owning several other properties in that area.

State Democrats gave the complaint and the land records from Racine County to Action 2 News Thursday afternoon.

The party claims Lasee is violating state statutes by claiming a De Pere address for candidacy purposes but living with his family in Racine. Attached to the formal complaint submitted by the Democratic Party to the GAB are copies of several property records which list the owners as Frank and Amy Lasee, giving a home address in Racine. These records date back to 2008, the same year Lasee’s 14 years in the State Assembly came to an end.

I’m not sure if the DPW’s complaint against Sen. Lasee has any merit, but it’ll certainly be interesting to see how it turns out.

  1. Simple question do Frank Lasee’s children attend school in DePere or Racine? I would suggest that is their true hometown.
