No. Never. There is a need for a serious person with deep background and credentials. Even the GOP are aware of that need.
Yes, but Trump is far from being a serious person himself. Clarke unfortunately makes sense for Trump.
Get Tommy on the stand in DC and have him try to explain all the deaths and cost overruns at the County jail? And explain all the outside money from the NRA and the trips to Russia?
Have to be an attorney for the FBI to hire you as an agent. Rank and file would revolt if Trump nominated Sheriff Clarke, who does have a J.D.
Sheriff Clarke made some comments before Trump fired Comey, that if he were FBI Director, the first thing he would do would be arrest HRC.
Clarke is networked in to Trump’s administration. He knew Comey’s firing was imminent before it stunned the world. He knew he was on the list of candidates being considered.
