Why Isn’t This Domestic Terrorism?

Terrorism is, in the broadest sense, the use of intentionally indiscriminate violence as a means to create terror among masses of people;

Last week a 19 year old fired a shotgun in a West Palm Beach Florida high school. Nobody is calling it terrorism. Because he was white? Because he was home grown? Because he didn’t kill anyone? [forget that last one…that doesn’t seem to apply given all of the other terrorist killings in the US perpetrated by white males that are never called terrorism…when they probably should be]

But it sounds like terrorism to me cause this is why he did it:

A 19-year-old man accused of firing his gun inside a West Palm Beach, Fla., high school last week said he carried out the shooting to “scare people” and did not intend to hurt anyone.

Sky Bouche told FOX35 he fired his gun in the Forest High School classroom last Friday because he wanted to instill fear among his peers.

“I prepared to go and scare people,” Bouche told the news station. “Put my shotgun in my guitar case, took two pills, grabbed my tactical vest and went down to Forest.”

Mr. Bouche intentionally used indiscriminate violence to create terror…when are we going to start calling these things by their real name?
