Most of you have probably seen this on one media site or another, but since we follow Milwaukee County government pretty closely, I want to share Rep. Crowley’s email with you!
I’m proud to announce that I’m running for Milwaukee County Executive. I’m running to bring residents from across our county together and to give back to the community that has given me so much.
I’ve had the honor of serving the almost 60,000 residents of Wisconsin’s 17th Assembly District, where I have built my reputation as a legislator on being a bridge builder.
I’ve worked with lawmakers from both political parties to pass legislation that benefits not just the people in my district, but people all across Wisconsin. I go to work every day to make sure that our community has a steadfast advocate in the state legislature, and I’m ready to bring that same energy to our county government.
I will never stop working to give back to our community. And that’s why I’ve decided to run for Milwaukee County Executive.
But right now, I need your help to get this campaign started. The only way that we’re going to make change is to come together from the start.
Whether it is housing, transportation, health care services, or public safety, county government affects all of our daily lives. Having spent time working for the county, I know what it’s like to provide these vital services to residents.
Growing up in a struggling family in Milwaukee County, I also know what it’s like to rely on these county services and what that really means to families in our community.
The next Milwaukee County Executive needs to be a uniter, someone who can close the gap between our thriving and struggling communities, work across political lines, and connect working people with our business community.
As Milwaukee County Executive, I’ll be that bridge builder. I will do everything I can to make sure that people across Milwaukee County, no matter their zip code, get the services they need.
P.S. I am not making any endorsements for the race at this time.
