From this morning’s email in box, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is asking for contributions to fund two of their journalists and the news division they work for:
Considering that I already pay nearly $700 for an annual home delivery subscription…this is ridiculous.
But given this: The Journal Sentinel’s Drastic Decline; Sunday and daily subscription numbers continue to plummet. When their Go Fund Me efforts fail, I don’t see any future for the local print media.
They want extra donations to do the job they’re supposed to do? Then you see the hedge fund looking to buy out other Wisconsin newspapers and wonder, does Freedom of the press only applies to those that own it?
