Gallup poll results show that only 4 states are solidly Republican vs. the 23 states that are solidly Democratic. In other polling results, Daily Kos sponsored a poll by Research 2000 that showcases some out of touch positions by Republicans about Obama, about issues facing the country, about gays and lesbians and about a wide range of positions outside the mainstream of American thought.
