It’s that time of year again….the time when quarterback Brett Favre takes his sweet time to ponder his future and leave his team twisting in the wind. Supposedly, a decision from Favre on his future could be coming within the next ten days or so, but as Kevin over at Lakeshore Laments said, An Answer from Favre by February? Keep Dreaming!
As I said over at Kevin’s place, it’s sad that one of Brett Favre’s enduring legacies will be his yearly “will he or won’t he” retirement song and dance. Sure, he’ll be known for winning a Superbowl and a Hall of Fame career, but he’ll also be known for his annual retirement watch, as well as his actions and statements in the offseason of his trade to the Jets. Personally, I hope Favre will retire, because there’s nothing worse than a legendary athlete who lingers too long on the playing field trying to reclaim past glory.
Zach, you know me to be on of Favre’s backers during the debacle of the last off-season, and I still think he would have been better than Rodgers. But even with all that, and Favre’s hurting arm, and that he turns 40 this year, it is time for him to hang up the cleats.
capper, I agree. Though I felt (and still do feel) that Aaron Rodgers was the right choice for the Packers to move forward, it does pain me to see Brett Favre wearing another team’s jersey and struggling so mightily.

He did. Again. Maybe for good this time? 😀

Hopefully for good this time.
