If you are fortunate enough to remember Patrick McGoohan’s performance in the edgy British TV series “The Prisoner” you will be pleased to know that it is being re-made and will release on AMC in November.
Unfortunately, it is a 6-hour event which means that it will not explore in detail the struggle against Big Brother and the control of the individual. I would have liked to have seen an updated version with current technology applied in similar story lines. GPS, DNA fingerprinting, chemical-sniffing and invisibillty technology, as well as, applied pyschological stress and enhanced interrogation techniques would make for a great series about man struggling against the application of technology to his free will.
