Viking vs. Packers

Today’s the day. Brett Favre makes his first trip back to Lambeau Field as a member of the hated Minnesota Vikings. Last time the Vikings and Packers met, the Vikings beat the Packers 30-23, although the game certainly didn’t seem as close as the score would lead one to believe. With a win today, the Packers would narrow the Vikings’ lead in the NFC North, while taking a step towards silencing remaining critics of the team’s decision to part company with Brett Favre.

I’m going to go out on a limb and say the Packers will beat the Vikings by a score of 31-17, but I’d like to hear your predictions for the final score.

      1. Favre’s Vikings are going to kick some Packer ass today…and I can’t wait! I’ll use my hubby’s prediction…Favre’s Vikings winning 28-21 for my guess…(not exactly an ass kicking score but it’ll work).

BTW…I don’t drink beer or any other alcohol…blah!

  1. I hope it’s not a shootout – I don’t know if I can take the stress.
The Vikings are a better team, but there is no doubt the Packers should want it more.
I’m honestly not sure how this one will go, but if Farve doesn’t end up on his back… a lot… I will be exceptionally disappointed in the defense. If they get in his face he will make mistakes, but if they can’t manage that – they won’t likely win.

      1. I think a shootout is in our favor. The more Favre has to/decides to sling the ball around, the more mistakes he’ll make. If they attempt anywhere near as many passes as we do, the Packers should fare well.

As frustrating as the first game was, I think the defense did exactly what they needed to do. Stopping Adrian Peterson should be number 1-10 on the priority list. If Favre can beat us through the air, then so be it. I doubt he can play small ball & play it safe & error free like last time.

  2. Guess who won! The best team of course! Go PACKERS all the way! Fayre, take your problems to the Vikings we don’t need that type here.

  3. Oddly enough (or maybe not)…I’m happy the Packers won last night. I’m no longer a fan of Brett Favre. I just don’t get people…sigh. 🙁
