Jeff Cox, former Asst. Attorney General in Indiana, advocates shooting Madison protesters

Here’s what now former Indiana Assistant Attorney General Jeff Cox said via the Twitters upon hearing false reports that riot police might soon sweep demonstrators out of the Wisconsin Capitol building:

It’s worth noting that at the time of the tweet in question, Cox was still employed as an Indiana Assistant Attorney General; however he’s no longer employed by the state of Indiana. While Cox has said the tweet was meant to be satirical, it’s worth noting he also called the protesters “thugs” and said, “You’re damn right I advocate deadly force,” when asked about the tweet by Mother Jones magazine.

H/T to FreakOut Nation.
