I’ve been thinking a lot about the tone some comments have taken on this blog lately, and I’d just like to remind folks that I’d greatly appreciate it if you all could try really hard to avoid personal attacks, name calling, etc., as I want this blog to be about passionate debate, not name calling and personal attacks.
I know I’m not innocent, but I simply don’t want to see Blogging Blue devolve into a blog where folks don’t feel welcome to express their viewpoints, no matter how outlandish, outrageous, or just plain wrong those viewpoints may be, because that defeats the whole point of why I started the blog.
I know by and large the folks who read this blog (and others) are incredibly passionate about politics and are extremely opinionated, but we should be able to have passionate and even heated debates without those debates devolving into name calling and all sorts of nastiness.
So please try to be a little more civil to each other.
