This is a loss for House Democrats…
Rep. Gabrielle Giffords of Arizona announced Sunday she intends to resign from Congress this week to concentrate on recovering from wounds suffered in an assassination attempt a little more than a year ago that shook the country.
I’m not completely surprised, because it takes so much work to recover after something like this. I hope she recovers, and if it is what she wants, runs for office again someday.
This was a surprise. Wow.
She is obvously a remarkable woman.
Frankly, her survival after that attack was already a testament to that fact.
