The truth about mobile speeds…we are losing

Ironically a number of articles have been bemoaning Wisconsin’s poor showing in comparisons of mobile speeds for downloads to smart phones. Particularly the fact that Minnesota is….like…first in the US…and Wisconsin is only 36th. That’s unfortunate. What’s even more unfortunate is the fact buried deep in the news.

The U.S. ranked 43rd among countries for average download speeds over mobile devices, between Hong Kong and Portugal.

The fastest speeds were in Qatar, Norway and the United Arab Emirates.

The United States is 43rd? Qatar is the fastest? WTF? Somebody needs to tell the president that his tweets aren’t going out as fast as they should so we can get some federal help getting to #1!

Yeah, this is a bit snarky, but really. There is no reason that the US isn’t in the top five in mobile speeds. One more infrastructure issue we are just letting slide.
