Mark your calendars – Sen. Kathleen Vinehout is coming to Drinking Liberally

Here’s the details on Sen. Vinehout’s visit to the March meeting of Drinking Liberally here in Milwaukee:

Though we’re still three weeks away from our next meeting, I wanted to take a minute to let you all know that we will have a very special guest at our March meeting of Drinking Liberally.

We’ll be joined by Democratic State Sen. Kathleen Vinehout, one of the brave “Wisconsin 14” who left Wisconsin to fight Gov. Scott Walker’s attack on collective bargaining rights for public employees last year. As you may know, Sen. Vinehout has declared herself as a candidate in the Democratic primary election, with the winner of that primary facing Gov. Walker in his recall election.

I’m thrilled to have Sen. Vinehout joining us, and I hope you’ll join us as well. I know Sen. Vinehout looks forward to having the opportunity to meet and talk with us, so I hope you’ll join us.

Here are the details for our March meeting:

Date: Monday, March 19, 2012
Time: 7:00 p.m.
Location: Transfer Pizzeria & Cafe, 101 W. Mitchell Street in Milwaukee

  1. Mahlon Mithchell will speak at Drinking Liberally Waukesha on Monday, March 5th, and Kathleen Vinehout will speak at Drinking Liberally Milwaukee on Monday, March 19th. Two great events, two great speakers, two different Mondays. Divine.

  2. Falk should come. But then you’d have to rename the event, “Drinking and Driving Liberally.”

    1. Aren’t you looking seriously noobish right now? I think so. You seem to be having dim memories of the name Falk with regard to drinking and driving? Years back Falk campaigned against another female who was publicly embarrassed for over-doing then getting in the car. Which everyone in WI has done. Don’t deny. This is the most drunk-ass pathetic state in 3 Galaxies.
Anyways, Falk ran a nasty campaign AGAINST that woman who was btw named Peg Lautenschlager. Peg’s a really good speaker, energetic, grounded, and with an overall style that is resonant with Dem and Independent voters outside the Madison-Milwaukee Navel-gazing Clusterfuck. Falk does not share those characteristics, so it was all very unfortunate. I wonder how well Falk would have even done if Peg L. had not had not screwed up and gotten the public humiliation. Something to ponder. However, I recently heard Peg is doing great and still impressing northwoods folks.
So all’s well that ends well.
      Except your “joke”.
