Milwaukee Police confirmed today a DNA link between a suspected serial killer and a seventh victim. Florence McCormick, a slain prostitute, was found dead on April 24, 1995 inside a vacant home on the city’s north side in the 600 block of West Locust Avenue.
As I wrote yesterday, I felt there would be more victims identified thanks to DNA, and I wouldn’t be at all surprised if the number of victims tied to this serial killer ends up close to twelve. Twenty one years is a long time, and I still question if the killer really killed multiple victims in 1986 and 1995 and and went 9 and 10 years between kills, leading me to believe there are more victims yet to be identified. What’s more, take a look at this map:

Five of the seven identified victims were found within a 12 square block area on Milwaukee’s north side, and six of the seven were found in abandoned houses. I’m no expert, but it seems to me the killer knows the area and feels somewhat comfortable operating within that area.
