  1. 1. For years many liberals have supported a single-payer (government run) system, so now that we are constantly being told that’s NOT what this plan is about, why are liberals supporting it?

    2. The simplified chart above says if I am currently covered by employer, nothing will change. A. How will a system of out of control costs be addressed if nothing changes for most Americans? and, B. Isn’t the secret here that the plan gives many employers incentives to stop providing coverage?

    3. Is the plan about equal universal coverage? If so, how will the quality not be reduced to the lowest common denominator? If someone has the ability to pay top dollar for the best specialist in the nation, why will that be prohibited?

    4. How long should I expect to wait for elective surgery?

That’s just the tip of the iceberg of questions that remain unanswered. Considering the President is planning to go on Letterman and every Sunday morning show, would it be too much to have someone in the media ask these questions and have the President answer them honestly?

One of the great ironies of healthcare reform of this type…it likely will lead to a larger gap between healthcare for rich and poor. Play it out for a second. If total equality is the goal or since healthcare is not a limitless product/service and some level of rationing or waiting happens, what will the very rich do? What will some doctors do who decide they don’t like working for the government (like some are already doing with Medicare when they get fed up of being reimbursed below their costs)? They’ll go out on their own. They’ll open up cash only clinic and those who can afford it, will go there to get immediate & higher quality service.
