Tommy Thompson was in the news today with a poll out from the Wisconsin Policy Research Institute saying that if a Senatorial election between Thompson and Feingold were held today, Thompson would win by 4 points – 43% t0 39%. The poll did have a margin of error of 3.8% and only included homes with landline phones. Given the younger, more progressive population that have switched over to mobile only phone service, I’m not sure Feingold should be planning a new career yet.
Thompson also made the news as one of the mainstream Republicans who support health care reform. He has joined Frist, Schwarzenegger and Independent Bloomberg in doing so according to the New York Times blog. These new endorsements are putting the Republican party in a difficult place given the extremism they’ve demonstrated on health care reform.
Maybe Tommy really is positioning himself for another run here in Wisconsin.
I’m convinced Tommy Thompson just likes to see his name in the paper, so he can feel relevant. He’d have no chance against Sen. Feingold.
Zack theres no demacommie that can beat Tommy.
ray, what exactly is a demacommie?
