I can’t help but wonder when the folks in Scott Walker’s gubernatorial campaign are going to come to the realization that they’re not running against Gov. Jim Doyle in 2010. Sure, I get it…they want to tie Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett to Gov. Doyle, but at what point does Scott Walker start being the candidates that stands for something, instead of simply being the candidate running against Jim Doyle?
As Forward Our Motto notes, Walker’s campaign is still running Google Keyword ads positioning Walker as the “anti-Doyle:”
If all Scott Walker’s got in his bag of tricks is to keep chanting “Jim Doyle, Jim Doyle” to anyone who’ll listen, he’s due for a rude awakening come November. This election won’t be won simply by proclaiming oneself to be the “anti-Doyle,” but then again, given Walker’s horrible record of mismanagement in Milwaukee County, it’s no shock he’s not running on his own record.
a vote for Barrett is A vote for more of the same, time for A change
I agree with Ray, I’d to see Walker run WI into the ground the way he did Milwaukee County. Who is with me?!
I’m in!
Oh, you mean kind of like how Democrats have and continue to run against George W Bush?
We just have to remind Republicans you can’t clean up eight years worth of garbage in a year, but we’re trying.
Well then the same reminder applies here, doesn’t it? I’m looking forward to someone cleaning up after 8 years of Diamond Jim Doyle garbage.
I’m looking forward to Tom Barrett cleaning up after 8 years of Jim Doyle too.
I am looking forward to hearing how he plans to do that.
Gee, if Tom plans to run against GW Bush AND Jim Doyle, he’s a shoe-in! Maybe he can start by telling Dem voters they were foolish not to elect him the nominee back in ’02.
