As The Chief notes, the announcement earlier today by Tommy Thompson that he won’t seek the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Sen. Russ Feingold could mean that both State Senator Ted Kanavas of Brookfield and businessman Ron Johnson of Oshkosh may jump into the race for Sen. Feingold’s seat.
Personally, I’d love to see both Kanavas and Johnson jump into the race, because I’d love to see a five-way Republican Senate primary. Hilarity would no doubt ensue, so I say the more the merrier!
