The Democratic primary in the 7th State Senate District is heating up, with challenger Chris Larson and incumbent Sen. Jeff Plale both announcing today their campaigns have received endorsements.
Larson’s campaign announced it had received the endorsement of the Wisconsin Federation of Nurses and Health Professionals, AFT, AFL-CIO, which represents nurses and therapists working for Milwaukee County in addition to 3,000 health professionals throughout the state of Wisconsin. In making the endorsement, WFNHP President Candice Owley issued the following statement:
“Chris Larson will bring fresh ideas and compassionate representation to the 7th Senate District. As a County Supervisor, Chris Larson saved critical services for people with mental illness that County Executive Scott Walker sought to eliminate. Chris Larson is the kind of Senator who will be the champion health care consumers and workers need,”
In a statement of his own, Larson said he was humbled by the support of WFNHP, and he added, “Cutting services to the most needy isn’t an option on my watch. Nurses and health professionals are the cornerstone of our society, and I’m happy to work with them for the health and safety of our neighborhoods.”
In some endorsement news of his own, Sen. Jeff Plale’s reelection campaign announced today Sen. Plale has been endorsed by Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm, who said, “I have worked with Senator Plale for several years and I respect his commitment to public safety in our neighborhoods.”
It will be interesting to see how the endorsement battle between Chris Larson and Jeff Plale shakes out and which unions side with which candidates.
lets hope that nurses endorsement helps larson more than the crook who they endorsed over Plale last time!

What truth did you speak? All I read was innuendo about what Chris Larson might have done in order to get the endorsement of the WFNHP.

how does that imply anything?
It implies that she’d give out the endorsement for a candidate who’d be willing to “go there.”
