President Obama serenaded at fundraiser

While speaking at a breakfast fundraiser yesterday, President Barack Obama got some uninvited audience feedback when a woman in the crowd rose from her seat and said, “Mr. President, we wrote you a song.” President Obama attempted to quiet the woman, but the woman and her table of donors at the fundraising breakfast broke into song and raised signs that read “Free Bradley Manning” in reference to the Army intelligence specialist accused of releasing diplomatic cables to WikiLeaks.

Here’s some video of the impromptu concert:

  1. I believe that everyone has a right to be treated innocent until proven guilty. The same should apply to Manning. I believe that situations like this one will help his advocates increase heat around the case and the man will be given fair trial to end his torture.

  2. Unfortunately the rules for military personnel are a little bit different than the public at large. But yes he should be treated humanely and provided a fair trial.
