Democrats begin recall training, kick out conservative “reporter”

On Tuesday Kirsten Adshead, a “reporter” for the Wisconsin Reporter, reported that an unnamed member of the Wisconsin Reporter staff attempted to attend a recent recall training session in Madison, only to be turned away by an organizer of the event, who cited the campaign’s desire to keep the information out of the media as the reason for the Wisconsin Reporter staff member being asked to leave.

Curiously absent from Ashead’s report is any mention of which specific member of the Wisconsin Reporter staff was asked to leave the recall training event, but I’ve been told the staff member in question is none other than Kirsten Ashead.

In her report, Adshead asserted Democratic Party of Wisconsin spokesperson Graeme Zielinski “threatened to discuss the incident Wednesday with the statehouse press corps,” but Zielinski was unequivocal in denying that any “threats” were made, saying, “I did not “threaten” her with going to the capitol press corps.”

For the record, I think Kirsten Adshead isn’t much of a “reporter,” and I think Wisconsin Reporter is as unbiased a news source as Blogging Blue, which is to say that it’s biased as hell. Organizers of the recall training session in Madison were absolutely right for turning Kirsten Adshead away from their session, because she’s not an unbiased reporter interested in reporting “just the facts;” she’s a right-wing shill interested in promoting conservatism.

  1. Ms. As(s)head should have worn a disguise to cover up her right-wing taint – maybe one that makes her look like she has a brain. That would definitely help her to fit in with the Dems . But alas, that would disqualify her from the GOP.

    1. I don’t fear transparency; I just don’t think it’s smart to allow a conservative propagandist into a planning session for a recall of Gov. Walker.

No doubt you wouldn’t be singing the same tune if it were a liberal media member that had been thrown out of a conservative planning event.

The article on Patch is not all that informative and definitely leans Right-much so that it may tip over.

Unfortunately, right-wing extremists have a habit of creating phony internet news sources and Wisconsin Reporter is one of these. This online fishwrap, with a rich journalistic heritage that stretches back to January 2011 is part of the Statehouse news national online organization (founded in 2010), which is the brainchild and creature of the Franklin Center for Government and Public Integrity, a nonprofit, “nonpartisan” organization founded way back in February 2009 with a private donor list (a red flag for sites of this type). The president of the FCGPI is Jason Stverak, who until the creation of this organization was the head of the Republican Party in North Dakota. This poorly constructed online house of cards is obviously funded by right wingers (I haven’t gone far enough back, but this is typical of Koch brothers funded circus shows).

So is it any surprise that the wild-eyed right wing extremist zealot who showed up at this meeting (for the sole purpose of creating a circus) would be shown the door? I’m sure bona fide news sources such as the MSJ or television networks would have been treated differently.
