According to multiple news reports, former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman is dropping out of the Republican presidential race.
After eschewing campaigning in Iowa before the Iowa Caucuses, Huntsman focused his campaign’s time and resources in New Hampshire, where he finished an underwhelming third. According to some polling, Huntsman was trailing Stephen Colbert in the South Carolina Republican presidential primary, which is the epitome of adding insult to injury.
Word is that as he exits the Republican field, Huntsman will endorse Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign.
