In this BBC Newsround Special, 13-year-old Rosie takes viewers into her world to explain what it’s like to grow up with autism – a condition which affects how children see life, and the way they relate to others around them.

  1. Thank you for posting this. My son is severely autistic so we get it. Rosie has Asperger Syndrome which is a mild form. She is able to express herself. My son can not. He is a 26 year old 4 year old living in a man’s body. I would say he is more like her brother. He can not talk, shower by himself, shave, drive a car or work. He is stuck in toddlerland with game shows and Sesame Street. My question here in the USA is what will happen to these lost souls? I see prolife people defending the unborn and then cutting the funding for these innocents once they get elected? I live in NJ where group homes for these people rank 49th out of 50. This is with a prolife gov. These people need more funding here and more help.
