This was a classic sung by Vaughn Monroe. My parents told me I did an excellent imitation of his baritone rendition. If only I could read music, I may of had a musical career. If, if, if!
Have always liked Vaughn Monroe and his versions of almost anything. But I have to say, for my money, Mel Torme did the best Blue Moon rendition in a movie about Rogers and Hart who wrote the song. As for as Gillespie, you have to hear him go one up with a talent like Roy Eldridge to understand what a master of the trumpet he was.
