Speaking at a meeting of the Democratic National Committee’s women’s leadership forum on Friday, Vice President Joe Biden said the nation needs to bring young men into the effort against domestic violence by encouraging them to stand against the crime on college campuses.
Biden, speaking at a meeting of the Democratic National Committee’s women’s leadership forum, said the 20th anniversary of the Violence Against Women Act highlights the need to fight domestic violence against women in their teens and 20s.
Biden said the administration would be unrelenting “to make it clear that it is cowardly not to step up.”
The vice president reiterated the message Friday afternoon at a round table on domestic violence issues in Denver. “You have an absolute obligation to intervene when you see violence taking place,” Biden said of men. “That’s manhood. That’s being a man.”
Here’s some video of Joe Biden’s remarks.
Yes, I’m all for ending domestic violence and let us begin with ending our (yes we are repsonsible for it, each and every one of us) domestic terrorism on the domiciles and lives of civilians in other countries that do not pose an immanent threat to the US.

Biden’s speech, another distraction from reality for consumption in the homeland. Homeland domestic violence also includes militarized civilian police, allowed and officially encouraged environmental pollution and a failure to assure health-care, safe and adequate food and shelter to millions of US citizens.
This is just a peek of the camel’s nose under the tent of domestic violence.
Joe Biden needs to clarify some of his remarks. In the video he suggests that 21,000 crimes a week are committed against women. The overall tone of his remarks leads one to believe these are violent crimes. That’s roughly 1.2 million or so a year.
Yet the FBI reports that in 2010 there were roughly a total of 1.2 million violent crimes committed nationwide. Were all of these crimes committed against women?
Where is Joe Biden getting his data and what kind of crimes is he talking about?
Sure Joe, and i am a coward if i don’t hit a woman back even if i do go to jail. I have been hit by women and many of my male friends have as well. We know it goes unreported and so does women who physically, psychologically and sexually abuse children.
Both domestic violence and sexual assaults are vastly under-reported crimes. What’s your point?
