Please inform me, what did Schimel do?
Schimel melted down two felony counts to a misdemeanor, resulting in minimal jail time and short probation period. Kramer was also allowed to complete his term with salary and benefits. Kramer was not required to register as a sex offender. In Mr. Schimel’s defense he was following Atty. General Van Hollen’s principle “it may have been illegal but isn’t criminal” if we do it.
