I missed the debate last night but saw a snippet of Beto O’Rourke’s reply to removing AR-15 and AK-47s and similar weapons from America’s civilian arsenal. And he followed up with a related tweet…and got some push back. See it here:
I am not surprised that there are vocal and possibly violent responses to Mr. O’Rourke’s proposal. I don’t think he’s wrong though. But I am surprised by the tone of this very open response from an elected state representative. I’d like to think electeds would exhibit a modicum of civility no matter what the topic.
