I saw this when it was first published and again when it appeared in another article about COVID-19. It registered but I didn’t get around to publishing this with all of the other issues around the pandemic.
But KUDOS to Ascension for doing the right thing…hopefully they will have plenty of imitators on this one!
Ascension Wisconsin, the state’s second-largest health system, said this week that it would not bill uninsured patients for testing or treatment of COVID-19.
The health system stressed that patients still will need to be prescreened and meet the guidelines that have limited the number of patients being tested for the disease.
